Chido (Chee-tho)
I learn to play drums at the age of 12 or so. My family played music for the local church. My father played guitar my mom played piano and my bothers played bass and sax. This was the kind of up bring my parents had provide for me and my brothers in music. By the time I was 18 or so I was playing for a band that I had put together with my cousins and my bother who played sax. My other brother who played bass continued on to play for the church to this day. The band we put together was called "Los Favaritos". Starting in the early days my uncle who managed us said that we need to play cumbias and ranchetas instead of all that Santana rock. I for one didn't want to play that type of music. So we compromised and agreed that we would play 50% Spanish music and 50% Santana rock or what ever it was other than that Spanish music. Well the concept worked and we had the young folks happy as well as the old folks. And I did enjoy playing Spanish music. In the end I adjusted and learned the Spainish beats. Today that same formate is being used. We ended up always playing Saturday's and Sundays no DJ's just live music.
After about 7 years or so the band went their separate ways. At that time I stopped playing for many years to support and raise a family, but the love of music was never far a way. When I decided I wanted to play again now that my kids and some of my grandkids are now grown, I had to start all over again playing music. I practice for about 3 years solo in my garage. Reviewing technics, accents, timing and the philosophy of drums. And to this day I still continue to practice every weekend 3 to 4 hours a session. A musical friend said it's time for you to get out. I did get into some bands for a brief moment, but it wasn't the same. I always was compared to their last drummer. I did learn that all drummers are unique and you just can't give them a set of chorus to play. They have to feel the music. So I decided to put a band together, which took 2 1/2 years to find the right people. I often tell the players that enter this band, that I want them to play with me not for me. It opens a window of creativity and calmness. I wanted to be a different type of band, but yet playing song with a passion just like my uncle wanted from me. So I hope we have achieve that mile stone. These are a bunch of great guys who I have peak their interest in the Latin style and find interesting as well as entertaining . They do believe in practice and we share the same passion with the right chemisty. David has been a big support and the one that said I should get out their.

Don't hesitate give me a call. Our focus has been on our music and we are trying to be diffirent from the rest. Call us for your special event. This year 2021 we're looking for exposure as new band with a new sound. We would love to play at your outside event.
This group of guys and gal are in it for the love of music and not as a way to support ourselves. We have looked into creative ways or songs that will leave you with an impression "I like the way they played that song". Many of us have played in different bands. So we have the experience. We pracitce with passion. Many musicans didn't have that same passion.
